West Park: Skill, Expertise, Compassion

When a person has experienced a serious injury or illness, an acute care hospital is only the first step toward recovery. There is still a lot of hard work that needs to be done before a patient is able to return to everyday life. For that, they need West Park Healthcare Centre.

West Park is a national leader in rehabilitation and complex care. Our highly skilled team of physicians, therapists and nurses work in partnership with our patients to help them overcome enormous health challenges, regain their independence, and get back to the lives they love.

Improving Access to Health Care

As the population ages and more people are living longer with chronic disease and disability, there is growing demand for West Park’s services. To meet this need, we are transforming our 27-acre campus in west Toronto into an integrated campus of care, with a leading-edge new hospital at its centre. 

​

When our new hospital building opens in early 2024, it will have an immediate impact on our healthcare system. With 314 inpatient beds and double our current outpatient capacity, it will improve access to vital post-acute care services, while its innovative design will enhance patient care and better help people get their lives back.

​

Once our new facility has opened, we will turn our attention to our expansive grounds, creating outdoor therapy spaces, walking trails, quiet gardens and gathering spaces that will truly set us apart. Our full campus transformation will be complete in 2025.

West Park Foundation’s $80 million Get Your Life Back Campaign is supporting the capital costs of our redevelopment, helping to ensure our new hospital building is well-equipped and able to support the very best patient care, education and research.
